These eight pieces were composed for the Imperial College Chamber Orchestra in December 1995, written in the old fashioned way - at a piano first, with pen and manuscript paper, to be orchestrated in the first couple of weeks in January 1996. They were performed in St Mary's Church, Dorchester, later in the year (I forget exactly when), with the orchestra directed by Richard Dickins.
Since this performance, and in the process of transcribing the music onto Sibelius software, some small alterations were made to some of the pieces.
1 Allegro non troppo - quasi allegretto 2 Andante misterioso 3 Allegretto vivace 4 Lullaby: Andante, quasi adagio 5 Allegro energico 6 "Pan's Song": Allegro, molto brillante, ma sempre leggiero 7 Andante 8 Allegro vivace
